Tales of the Kingdom

Tales of the Kingdom

Once upon a time, there was a kingdom. As with all the others, it was, at the time, the greatest the world had seen. Within its borders, you could do everything you could ever dream of, with anyone you could ever dream of. It was full of the world's bests—food, places, people—whatever was on your mind. It was nothing special: All kingdoms are much the same.

Yet, it was still unlike anything that had come before it. But, as with all the others, it was not forever. As with all the others, it eventually became nothing but a memory. Nothing but the memories of the people who were once there, and nothing but the stories that they've told.

We tend to remember the things that are notable. The defining people, moments, and decisions that can be studied and written into the history books. Civilization has been along for far too long to remember every story from every kingdom that's ever existed.

But, we still remember some. The ones that get handed down generations or written into a book. The ones someone cared enough about to not let them be lost to time. They aren't particularly important in any way or another—they don't define the kingdom that they show to the world, or teach us anything specific—but they are stories worth remembering nonetheless.

So, tell me: What would you like to know? Is it enough for you to know what happened? Or, would you rather hear the tales of the kingdom?
